MADD Multimedia Show

As part of the Road Ready Teens national effort, Chrysler has sponsored MADD's secondary school multimedia show, Take Two. MADD's multimedia resources are distributed to more than 2,000 schools across the country, reaching nearly 1.5 million teens throughout the school year.  The three-screen multimedia show is fast paced, includes powerful imagery and utilizes the latest in DVD technology.  The visual experience is enhanced by a contemporary soundtrack and projected onto three giant screens in gyms and auditoriums nationally.  The safety information combined with the music and video help to stimulate a lasting impact that often results in dialogue between teens and their peers as well as adults.

Take Two is a 35-minute show that includes a segment dedicated to highlighting teen driving risks and the Road Ready Teens program.  In addition, poignant stories of real young people and celebrities are also included to help reinforce messages about how students: shouldn't buy into the hype that they have to drink alcohol or use other drugs to fit in where they hang out; should limit distractions while driving by paying attention, limiting the number of friends in their car, limiting night driving, staying focused and buckling up; find friends who accept them for who they are and not for what they do; and should be aware of the long-term consequences of underage alcohol and drug use.

MADD also offers a DVD classpack for in-classroom discussion to either extend the messages from the general assembly presentation or to present in a stand alone format for more in-depth dialogue with secondary students.
